Susan Freedman
Counsellor: BSc(Hons) PGDip, MBACP (Accred)

Are you experiencing unbearable feelings of sadness, anxiety, anger, guilt, emptiness, or confusion? Have you experienced an overwhelming life event such as bereavement, serious illness, breakdown of a relationship, trauma, loss, work related issues or redundancy?

As an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist I have found therapy can be really helpful in dealing with issues like these. I offer a confidential therapeutic space where we can think together about these feelings, try and make sense of the confusion and explore any options. We may explore childhood relationships and experiences, to make sense of the past - to see if there are any repeated patterns of behaviour. I believe it is the client's space to use as they wish in the knowledge that they will be respected, work at their own pace and not be judged.

As well as my Private Practice at Bushey Therapy Centre, I have extensive experience working with bereavement at the Peace Hospice Care Bereavement Service, and at a Cancer Charity where I also support cancer patients and their families. I have also had experience working at a GP surgery.

I have worked with individuals of all ages and from many different cultural and social backgrounds.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to its strict ethical framework.

In addition to my Post Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire I have more recently undergone additional training in Counselling for Depression from the University of Nottingham.
